General Description

Dorchester House is a large modern purpose built hall of residence, comprising of 68 self-contained studio flats and 531 en-suite bedrooms arranged in cluster-flats.

The student contract of accommodation is with Bournemouth University, who is the landlord for all residents but the hall is owned and operated for BU by iQ Students. 

The ResLifeBU programme and annual bus pass is included in the rent. It is possible to opt out of the annual bus pass.

Please visit the BU website for full details of the terms and conditions and building rules. 50-week contracts for studios and 42 weeks for en-suite rooms. £250 prepayment of rent is required to secure room booking. Rent payments are split into three equal instalments and are due by the beginning of each term (they are aligned with expected loan dates).
