Get in touch Visit their websiteA real sociable atmosphere, the North Towers offers a great sense of community where you can hang out with friends and feel the buzz of people sharing a flat together.
The North Towers are just a two-minute walk to the centre of campus and located near Essex Business School.
Each tower is made up of flats accommodating up to 14 students. The number and size of the facilities, such as rooms, showers and toilets, within each flat, can vary. The North Towers feature:
* Central shared kitchen/dining area
* Bedrooms located on either side
* Shared showers and toilets on each side of the flat
* Two lifts in each building and an emergency staircase
North Towers are available for both undergraduates (Tawney, Rayleigh, and Keynes) and postgraduates (William Morris)
There are some smaller flats at the bottom of each tower, each accommodating between three and six students, and there are some self-contained apartments.
At Essex there's so much going on that you could never leave campus and still find something new to do every day.
Home to 15,000 students from more than 130 countries, our Colchester Campus is the largest of our three sites, making us one of the most internationally diverse campuses on the planet - we like to think of ourselves as the world in one place.
The Campus is set within 200 acres of beautiful parkland, located two miles from the historic town centre of Colchester – England's oldest recorded town. Our Colchester Campus is also easily reached from London and Stansted Airport in under one hour. We are located in the historic, 200-acre Wivenhoe Park. The park was originally landscaped in the eighteenth century and was painted by celebrated artist John Constable.
Today, the striking landscape provides a tranquil place for all to enjoy. The campus squares are always buzzing with life. With shops, a bustling street market, a bank, restaurants, bars, a theatre, a cinema, hairdressers, a gym and even a nightclub; it's possible to survive your time at Essex without ever actually leaving campus (not something we recommend, but you get the idea...).
