Darwin Houses

Darwin Houses offer self-catered accommodation for postgraduate students undertaking short-stay academic programmes of under 39 weeks. Terraced houses for four to seven people, located just outside the central hub of the Canterbury campus. Its quieter location even boasts a beautiful rose garden where you can relax or study, whilst the Templeman Library and Gulbenkian cinema and theatre are a few minutes walk away.

Darwin Houses offer postgraduate-only accommodation with a shared kitchen, shower and toilet facilities, with adapted rooms also available. 

No deposits are needed to secure a room when applying, and for 2024/25 a Darwin House room costs £6,289.92 Included in this is a Premium Plus Membership for our on-campus facilities at Kent Sport, all utility bills (heating, water, electricity, Wi-Fi) and personal possessions insurance. A Flex Catering package is also available for an additional cost.
